The WiFi Display shows your cook on a screen instead of a phone, and bridges your thermometers to the cloud so you can watch from anywhere with internet.

It keeps your phone out of the kitchen, away from sauce and buttery fingers, and it is readable across a room.

What it does

• Shows the temperatures that matter: Core, Surface, and Ambient, on a 2.8-inch backlit screen
• Counts down to done. Set a target temperature, and it shows how far through the cook you are, then a "ready in" countdown
• Handles up to 4 thermometers, each with its own target temperature
• Bridges to the cloud over WiFi, so the app can see your cook from anywhere with internet
• Extends your range by acting as a repeater, adding up to an extra 330ft (100m) between thermometer and phone
• Doubles as a kitchen timer, with no thermometer involved
• Sticks to steel. The magnetic back holds with 6 lbs (26.7 N) of pull force, so it lives on the fridge or the side of a grill

Do I need a WiFi Display if I have a WiFi Booster?

No. One WiFi tool covers your whole setup. The WiFi Display, the WiFi Booster, and the Giant Grill Gauge all do the same bridging job, and any one of them connects up to 4 thermometers to the cloud.

Pick on what else you want. The Display gives you a screen. The Booster recharges your thermometer and has no screen. The Giant Grill Gauge measures pit temperature and mounts on the grill.

Will it work with what I already own?

Yes, in both directions.

Any Predictive Thermometer works with any accessory, whichever generation each one is. A 1st-generation thermometer paired with a WiFi Display gets cloud access it never had on its own.

A 1st-generation Display works with a 2nd-generation thermometer and shows all its temperatures normally. What it cannot do is WiFi, because the 1st-generation Display is Bluetooth only. For that, you need a WiFi tool somewhere in the setup.

What range should I actually expect?

Bluetooth gets you 330ft (100m) or more with nothing in the way, and about 50ft (15m) through obstacles. A thick-walled metal smoker or a couple of interior walls will take a real bite out of it, and that is physics rather than a fault.

Two things extend it. Each Combustion tool in your setup acts as a repeater, adding roughly another 330ft per hop. And once the Display is on WiFi, distance stops mattering at all, because the data travels over your network and the internet rather than over Bluetooth.
