The difference is with the chargers it comes with. 

The Predictive Thermometer comes with a standard charger that needs to be plugged into power in order to charge your thermometer. It is solely for charging purposes and doesn't have any other features. 

The Predictive Thermometer with Range-Extending Booster (Long-range Thermometer) comes with a Range-Extending Booster as its charger. It has range-extend features, charges your thermometer for up to 10 recharges, and keeps your thermometer charged while in storage.

If you have the standard charger and would like to upgrade, we also sell the Booster as a standalone product that will work great with your current thermometer.
