How to update firmware (CPT, Display, and Booster)Updated 8 months ago

You'll need the Combustion Inc. App to apply firmware updates. Links to each are in the footer of this site.

Please update your tools one at a time (e.g. do the Predictive Thermometer first, then the Display).

First of all, you’ll probably see an “update” banner (or two) on the main screen. Tap it! Then let it happen. That’s all. 

Otherwise, follow the usual steps:

1. Open the Combustion Inc. app
2. Tap the Combustion logo
3. Tap 'update devices'
4. Tap the tool you want to update
5. Wait for the update to finish
6. Repeat 1-5 for any other Combustion tools
7. Recharge your device(s)

NOTE: A Booster will not update if it's currently holding a Thermometer (that turns its radio off).

Troubles?
If the update does not complete, close the app and re-open it.
