Occasionally, firmware updates can be interrupted due to:

• Battery depletion during the update process
• Loss of Bluetooth connection
• App closures or crashes
• Device power cycling

Previously, these interruptions could leave devices in an unresponsive state, requiring manual intervention. With Firmware Rescue, your Combustion App can now:

• Detect devices stuck in bootloader mode
• Automatically initiate recovery procedures
• Restore proper functionality
• Complete the firmware update process

How to Use Firmware Rescue

The best part about Firmware Rescue is that it works automatically:

For iOS Users:

• The app will automatically detect and attempt to recover devices previously affected by failed updates
• No manual intervention required

For Android Users:

• Open the "Update Devices" screen
• Leave the screen open
• The app will detect and attempt to recover any affected devices

Recovering Previously Affected Devices

If you have a device that was affected by a failed update before this feature was available:

1. Update your Combustion App to the latest version
2. Open the app and allow it to scan for devices
3. Follow the platform-specific instructions above
4. Allow the recovery process to complete (this may take several minutes)
