The Combustion Display acts as a range extender and a visual hub for your cook. With each firmware update, we add support for new hardware, boost reliability, and fix bugs. Here's a complete version history of Display firmware updates.

April 2025 (v2.3.3)

  • Added support for ‘Always On Mode’ and ‘Reset Thermometer’ BLE commands.
  • Fixed issues with apostrophes in SSID and password.
  • Added showing ‘Err’ for error temperature values.
  • Improved stability of Wi-Fi configuration.
  • Repeater network stability improvements
  • This contains fixes for a couple other MeatNet bugs

February 2025

  • Minor reliability and stability fixes

December 2024

  • Added MeatNet™ support for USDA Food Safe (major feature)
  • Noticeably improved alarm (beeper) volume for Display v6 (improvements vary depending on build version)
  • Bug fix: Fixed issue with serial numbers not appearing in MeatNet Heartbeat messages (which allow us to fully understand how all devices are connected to each other, and monitor each connection’s signal strength)

September 2023:

  • Improved log download rate over Meatnet (graphs populate faster, data logs load faster)
  • More accurate temp targets in Celsius mode (bug fix)


August 2023:

  • MeatNet Repeater Network performance improvements and bug fixes
  • More reliable transfer of log data records over MeatNet Repeater Network
  • Fixed bug causing Android app to only use one repeater in some circumstances
  • Fixed issue where you might see error codes  (-20℃ / -4℉ values) when repeater nodes were connecting
  • Fixed issue with “phantom” thermometers with no data showing up on the Display in some circumstances
  • Fixed issues with dropped messages occurring in with certain connection schemes between Repeater nodes (that led to things like set points timing out and log messages not downloading)
