Can I use it to reverse-sear?Updated 8 months ago

Your Predictive Thermometer is tougher than it looks – it can handle some serious heat!

While it's pretty flame-resistant, it's always good to be a bit careful when things get super spicy (we're talking over 600°F). We've used ours on some scorching charcoal grills, and even with a few dramatic flare-ups, it's hung in there like a champ!

But just so you know, we usually keep our searing time to about 1-2 minutes max.

For your everyday searing temperatures, don't sweat it – your probe should handle it just fine. It's built to take the heat!

But hey, if you're planning to unleash the inferno on your grill, here's a nifty trick we've picked up: Pull out the probe before you start the sear, let your meat do its sizzling dance until it looks perfect, then slide that probe back in once it's off the heat. This way, you can still keep tabs on the temperature as it rests.

Happy grilling, and may your steaks always be perfectly cooked!
