Welcome to the Combustion Testing Community!

We're excited to invite you to join our beta testing program! As a Combustion beta tester, you'll be part of our extended family of cooking enthusiasts who get early access to new features while helping us create better experiences for everyone.

Our beta testers are incredibly important to us. Your real-world experiences and feedback help us:

• Test + refine  new features before they reach everyone
• Discover how our products perform in authentic cooking environments
• Build a better app based on your actual needs
• Create a cooking experience that truly works for passionate home cooks

When you join our beta program, your input directly influences the tools that thousands of cooks will eventually use in their kitchens.

How to Join Our Beta Program

Joining the Combustion beta program is straightforward, with slightly different processes depending on your device platform.

For iOS Users:

1. Install TestFlight:
   • Download Apple's TestFlight app from the App Store if you don't already have it
   • TestFlight is Apple's official platform for beta testing apps
2. Join the Combustion Beta:
   • Visit this link on your iOS device
   • Alternatively, contact [email protected] to request an invitation
   • Tap "Accept" when prompted to join the beta
3. Install the Beta Version:
   • Open the TestFlight app on your device
   • Locate the Combustion Inc. app
   • Tap "Update" or "Install" next to the Combustion Inc. app

For Android Users:

Important Note: To join the beta program on Android, you must already have the public version of the Combustion app installed on your device.

1. Access the Play Store:
   • Open the Google Play Store on your Android device
2. Find Your Profile:
   • Tap your profile icon at the top right of the screen
3. Access App Management:
   • Tap "Manage apps & device"
   • Select "Manage" tab
   • Find and tap on the Combustion Inc. app
4. Join the Beta Program:
   • Scroll down to find "Join the beta" section
   • Tap "Join" to enroll in the beta program
   • Wait for confirmation (this may take a few minutes)
5. Update to Beta Version:
   • Once enrolled, you'll receive an update notification
   • Update your app to get the beta version

Beta Tester Responsibilities

As a beta tester, we encourage you to:

• Use the app regularly to thoroughly test new features
• Report bugs or issues you encounter during testing
• Provide constructive feedback on features and user experience
• Share your notes by replying to beta announcement posts or contacting customer support
• Keep beta details confidential when requested

Share Your Thoughts

We genuinely want to hear from you! Here's how to reach us:

• Email us directly: Send your thoughts to [email protected]
• Join the conversation: Share your experience in the r/combustion_inc subreddit
• Use in-app feedback: Look for feedback options within the beta app

When reporting issues, please include:

• Your device model and operating system version
• Steps to reproduce the problem
• Screenshots if applicable
• What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened

Returning to the Public Version

If you need to revert to the stable public version:

For iOS:

• Open TestFlight
• Tap on the Combustion Inc. app
• Tap "Stop Testing"
• Download the public version from the App Store

For Android:

• Go to the Combustion Inc. app page on the Play Store
• Scroll down to the "You're a beta tester" section
• Tap "Leave" to exit the beta program
• Uninstall the beta version
• Reinstall the public version from the Play Store
